Potential impacts of the project

-Enhancement of the links between researchers in the in vitro field and technology users, particularly the pharmaceutical industry.

-Contribution to an increased competitive power of the European pharmaceutical industry by facilitating the development and use of in vitro models and tests in drug development and safety testing.

-The analysis of the demand and supply of in vitro tests will facilitate the manufacturers of in vitro tests, often SMEs, ability to adjust their products and services to the market.

-The workshop “The needs of novel in vitro tests within the pharmaceutical industry in Europe” will give the manufacturers of in vitro tests an opportunity to present their products and to make personal contacts with representatives from the European pharmaceutical companies.
