Current Activities

 

Following activities are taken place in the Invitopharma project:

-an identification of the needs within the pharmaceutical industry for in vitro tests, e.g. what kind of tests are required, which areas are of most concern for development of new in vitro tests, high throughput screening tests, tests monitoring effects and mechanism in detail etc. (survey).

-an identification  of academic model systems suitable to use for the pharmaceutical industry (survey).

-an identification of in vitro tests manufactured by enterprises (survey).

-analysis of  the correspondence between the available in vitro tests and the test strategies used in the pharmaceutical industry (survey).

The information from these inventories will be summarised and identification of the most urgent testing needs will be completed in May 2008.
