The availability of producers (WP3)

The aim of this WP is to make a comprehensive analysis of the existence of companies capable of manufacturing in vitro toxicity tests for end-users. In order to be able to identify the areas of most concern to develop alternative tests it is also important to get a comprehensive exposition of which in vitro toxicity test are commercially available for the end-users and who are the producers.

 

In summary the following issues will be included in WP3:

- Making an exhaustive inventory of companies in Europe that are or could become involved in the production of in vitro toxicity tests

- Analysing the “profile” of potential European manufacturers of in vitro toxicity tests

- Identify the basic requirements needed in order to further develop an invention into commercial products or standardixed protocols for use in the context of GLP
