Retrieval of existing, not properly exploited knowledge (WP1)

WP1 will specifically focus on retrieval of existing, not properly exploited, knowledge. Previously EC sponsored projects in FP5, as well as outcoming results in FP6 sponsored projects (when available) will be examined with the aim of identifying relevant scientific results, in terms of transferability to industry, and to analyze potential applicability, difficulties in disseminating and exploitation of results as well as why promising inventions have not been sufficiently transferred for commercial application.

 

In summary the following issues will be included in WP1:

- Analysis of relevant projects in FP5

- Analysis of on-going projects in FP6

- Analysis of other existing knowledge and its possibilities for applications to advance transfer of technology

- Perception of the involved partners on the results, technology transfer and usefulness of the developed tests to the end-users

- Potential applicability and the difficulties found in disseminating and exploitation of results

- Analysis of why promising inventions have not been sufficiently transferred for commercial application
